Boy Scout Troop 7
Niantic, CT

Troop 7 is very active in supporting the local community. A number of recent Eagle Scout projects have benefitted various local organizations, such as the Waterford Shelter of the Connecticut Humane Society, and provided amenities at local outdoor facilities - notably at Darrow Pond, the East Lyme terminus of the Richard H. Goodwin Trail System.

We often undertake food drives at local supermarkets in aid of local care organizations.

Our highest profile event is the annual "Coffee Stop" set up at the weigh station on I-95 in Waterford which typically raises ca. $2000 for local charities.

  • Labor Weekend coffee stop - running since 1985!
  • Coffee, soda and donuts are provided free of charge
  • Voluntary donations all go to local charities
  • Notice board at Darrow Pond
  • Soccer rebound trainer at East Lyme High School
